Malta opens to all flight destinations

Malta’s Prime Minister Robert Abela announced that Malta will be opening its airport and the ports to all nations on 15th July 2020. Malta’s low rate of infections (second lowest in Europe) means that quarantine restrictions in Malta will be lifted from the 15th of July 2020.

Arrivals will not be subjected to COVID-19 testing but will undergo thermal screening at the airport and be asked to complete a self-declaration form providing information on their travels within the past 30 days to confirm they haven’t visited any non-approved countries.

Malta’s announcement comes as Europe begins to open up just in time for the summer travel season.
